FAQ

Where are you located?

Just 20 minutes north of New York City, in White Plains. We have a lot of great restaurants, bars, shopping, art, and coffee shops. It’s a small city just a hop from the big one. Also: We don’t mind hopping down. Native Gothamists here.

Are you willing to meet in person?

Yes, indeed. Although we love our computers, we don’t hide behind them. We enjoy working with clients who are collaborative and reach out. Feel free to give us a call and set up a meeting. Fresh air is a good thing. And we think that sets us apart.

How much does a website cost? With marketing?

That all depends on the size and scope of the project. We would need to set up a meeting to discuss the time and work involved in turning all those pixels into real shapes.

I have these really great artisan plungers I just made. I want to sell them online. Do you do eCommerce?

We sure do, working with great third party vendors like Shopify, Big Commerce, Etsy, and Magneto. We can also customize your WordPress site to sell products by installing WooCommerce.

Can you get me to the top of Google? Like, tomorrow?

Probably not. Unless you sell artisan plungers. It’s a long climb up the mountain, but we’re going to do everything we can to help you reach the peak. We have plenty of methods. Let us tell you about some of them.

What is a CMS?

CMS stands for content management system. A content management system allows you to input text, graphics and images onto your website without having to code. Our favorite is WordPress. But we also know how to use, and build upon, Craft, Drupal, and pre-built custom systems.

What is web development?

Web development is the code we write to make the pretty graphics, text, images, and elements on a web page appear on your desktop, tablet and mobile phone. Interested in learning more about the languages we write in? Check out our Web Development Services.

What is responsive design?

Responsive design allows your web page to resize to different screen sizes, from large desktop retina to mobile phones. (If you have to pinch a site on a mobile phone, it’s not responsive.) There’s many other important reasons your site should conform with certain responsive standards. We’ll tell you about them. Download our Guide to Responsive Design.

Who are your ideal clients?

The rich and beautiful ones. (Of course.) Mostly, though, our ideal clients are collaborative, open to our creative input, enjoy working with a team, and understand reaching certain goals in the digital space is a continuous process.

I have a great idea for a website. Can you design and code it for me? I’ll pay you after I get filthy stankin’ rich. Promise.

That’s awfully nice of you. But we don’t work on I.O.U’s. Our favorite Chinese restaurant doesn’t accept them.
