Dan Martino
Digital Director, Founder
Dan Martino is a designer, developer and writer with over 15 years of professional experience in the digital space. Working as a tech and music journalist during the early days of the web, he became passionate about new ways to tell stories using online media. In 2006, he founded Brooklyn Radio, an internet radio station that served as a platform for multi-genre podcasts, written content and video. The site gained plenty of attention for its design and online musical talent, landing in mainstream publications like The Fader, CMJ, The New York Post, Village Voice, Gawker, and Time Out New York. In 2011, with the music industry clamping down on web licensing, he sold the site. (It is currently still operational. Brooklyn Radio.)
Learning to work with tech developers, designers, writers, and other creatives, he started 914Digital as a place for businesses without marketing to gain a partner in building their brands. His goal is always for clients to concentrate on their products and services, while they rely on 914Digital to produce the content that gets those products and services noticed.
Graduating with a BA in English Literature form Northeastern University, in Boston, Massachusetts, he remains passionate as ever about music, reading, writing, programming, design, fishing, and rooting for his beloved New jersey Devils.
His writing has appeared in The New York Times, Village Voice, New York Press, Time Out New York, Spin Magazine, and other online publications.
