The idea

Most AI image sites hand you an empty prompt box and ask for a subscription before you see anything. PopArt goes the other way: no sign-up, three free designs, and art in seconds. You start with a character, add the words, and choose a style, mood, colors and caption shape from simple menus. The site writes the image prompt for you. The quote never goes to the image model at all; it’s lettered on top in the browser, so the words are always spelled right.

Start with a character

The character is the first thing you choose, because it’s what makes a design yours. Pick a ready-made one (a woman, a man, a couple, a cat, a dog, a robot) or describe your own, like “a T-rex barista” or “a corgi in a superhero cape”. Every description is checked first: no real people, no famous characters or brands, nothing explicit, and no sneaky instructions. Blocked requests get a friendly suggestion for an original version, and never use up a free design.

Words, without the writing

Our first testers loved the art and stalled at the empty quote box. So the quote became three choices:

• Pick one: 12 topics (Coffee, Work, Mondays, Cats, Sass and more) with 161 original one-liners, plus a Surprise Me button.
• Write it for me: type a few words like “my cat ignores me” and AI suggests five lines that fit a speech bubble.
• Type my own: for people who already know exactly what they want to say.

Lettering that looks drawn

• Four caption styles: speech bubble, thought bubble, caption box and top banner, in hand-lettered comic fonts.
• Bubbles that know where to point: every new image is checked for the character’s face, so bubbles sit beside the head and tails aim at the mouth.
• Text that fits the shape: lines are balanced to fill an oval, not just a rectangle.
• Change it for free: the words, caption and lettering can be swapped anytime without making new art.

More than prints

• Posters and framed prints shown on a living-room wall, to scale, over an 84-inch sofa.

Print files that hold up

AI art comes out at about 1,000 pixels, which looks soft on a 24 × 36 poster. When an order comes in, the art is enlarged with an AI upscaler, and the caption, drawn separately at full size in the browser, is laid on top, so the lettering is razor sharp. Each product gets its own file: a poster at 150 dpi, a shirt front with a transparent background, a mug wrap with the design on both sides, a kiss-cut sticker. Orders go to Printful as drafts for approval, so nothing prints without a final look.
