Their website needed to match that reputation.
We rebuilt Alconox.com from the ground up — a fully custom WordPress theme, WooCommerce integration, and a suite of tools designed to serve both the scientists researching cleaning protocols and the purchasing managers placing orders. Here’s what went into it.
A Custom Theme Built for Performance
The previous site had served Alconox well, but it wasn’t built for where the company is headed. We designed and developed a custom Bootstrap theme that’s fast, responsive, and reflective of Alconox’s position as an industry leader.
The homepage opens with a full-width video hero — a clean, cinematic introduction that immediately communicates what Alconox does. From there, the layout guides visitors to products, industries, and resources without clutter or unnecessary clicks. Every page is built mobile-first, and the entire front end is optimized for speed.
Full E-Commerce with WooCommerce
Alconox sells a focused product line — roughly 20 specialized detergents, each available in multiple sizes and configurations. We integrated WooCommerce with custom product templates that display technical specs, SDS sheets, dilution instructions, and related resources right on the product page.
The store handles variable products with smart stock and availability messaging. If a specific size is out of stock, the customer sees a clear explanation and alternative purchasing instructions. If a product requires contacting Alconox directly, that message appears contextually without hiding the rest of the product information.
AI-Powered Chat
We integrated our custom AI chat widget directly into the site. Rather than a generic chatbot, the Alconox chat uses guided entry points — visitors choose from options like “Products,” “Certificate of Analysis,” “Locate Dealers,” or “Resources” — and are routed to the right information immediately. It’s a smarter front door for a site with deep technical content.
Live Search Across the Entire Site
Alconox.com has a lot of content: products, technical bulletins, SDS sheets, Certificates of Analysis, industry pages, and a rich archive of Q&A content on their TechNotes blog. We built a custom AJAX live search that queries across all of these post types in real time. Start typing and results appear instantly — products, pages, resources, and more — with clear links to the right destination.
COA and COC Lookup Tools
One of the most-used features on the site is the ability to look up Certificates of Analysis (COA) and Certificates of Conformance (COC) by lot number. These documents are critical for customers in regulated industries. We built dedicated lookup tools that make finding the right certificate fast and straightforward — no digging through file directories or emailing support.
Industry-Specific Landing Pages
Alconox serves a wide range of industries, and each one has different cleaning challenges. We created dedicated industry landing pages that speak directly to those needs — pharmaceutical, healthcare, laboratory, electronics, food and beverage, and more. Each page highlights the relevant products and resources so visitors can self-select into the content that matters to them.
Dealer Locator and Registration
Alconox products are sold through a network of authorized dealers. We built a dealer locator that helps customers find local distributors, along with a dealer registration and application system for new partners looking to carry the product line.
Ask Alconox
The “Ask Alconox” feature gives customers a direct line to the company’s technical experts. It’s a dedicated contact point for cleaning validation questions, product recommendations, and custom protocol requests — the kind of high-value support that sets Alconox apart from competitors who just ship product.
The Result
The new Alconox.com is a site that works as hard as the company it represents. It’s fast, it’s functional, and it puts decades of cleaning expertise at the customer’s fingertips — whether they’re placing an order, pulling a certificate, or figuring out the right detergent for a tricky residue.
